He strongly believes that prevention and health optimization are the cornerstones to individual wellness and long-term health.
Makoto has a special interest in digestion and hormone conditions. He has experience treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis) along with chronic undiagnosed problems such as constipation, diarrhea,  gas, bloating and heartburn. Testing for food allergies is an integral first step to identifying aggravating foods in your diet, followed by naturopathic treatment to strengthen and support the digestive tract. Makoto assures you that you will feel comfortable discussing the details of your bowel health with him.

With respect to hormones, Makoto is eager to help women and men rectify imbalances in their hormone levels to assist with their libido, menopausal symptoms, menstrual irregularities, thyroid conditions, mood, energy and chronic fatigue. Individual treatment options can include lifestyle changes, diet modifications, herbal medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy and bioidentical hormone therapy.
